Your first loaf; White Bread
After you have successfully selected the Best Bread Maker that matches your needs, it is not time for your fist loaf. When you read some of the comments in Amazon, you’ll learn that the first loaf can be a tricky one. Many users complain about the bread maker but often it is the user who didn’t follow the proper process. To spare you some disappointment, I’d like to share some tips and tricks when you’re making your first loaf. I have learned it the hard way and failed a few loafs…
We’ll start with one of the simplest bread making recipes; a 2 pound white bread. The aim is to get the basics right before we move on to the more advanced loafs.
Step 1: Get the ingredients ready;

- Water 1 1/3 cups
- Oil (I use Canola & Sunflower Oil) 3 Tablespoons
- Sugar (I prefer brown sugar) 2 Tablespoons
- Salt 1 Teaspoon
- Milk powder 2 Tablespoons
- High protein flour 4 1/3 cups
- Active dry yeast 1 ½ Teaspoon
